Abstract
A 36-year-old premenopausal woman was diagnosed with a small (11 mm) retroareolar cancer of the left breast. Mammography and breast MRI revealed no further pathology in both breasts. Breast conservation surgery with resection of the nipple-areola complex (NAC) and direct closure of the defect was planned. The breast was of medium size with minimal ptosis (Fig. 36.1).
