Segment Resection Using a Vertical Reduction Mammaplasty

  • Florian Fitzal

This 36-year-old woman had a palpable mass of 2.2 cm in the medial lower quadrant of her left breast. Diagnostic workup with mammography (Fig. 19.1) and ultrasound demonstrated a single mass with a possible second multifocal lesion. Sure cut biopsy revealed invasive ductal adenocarcinoma of the breast G3 luminal B (Er+++, Pr+, HER2 negative, and KI-67 80 %). The lymph nodes were clinically negative, and preoperative chemotherapy would have been an option for the patients. However, she decided to go for surgery first.
