Zusammenfassung

Notaufnahmen sind das Portal für ungeplante Patienten. Wie Krankenhausstrukturen sich darauf einstellen, ist vielfältig. Dabei sind viele Spitalseinrichtungen in ihrer Managementfunktion und Notfallkompetenz gefordert. Getragen von den klinischen Schwerpunktfächern wie Innere Medizin, Anästhesie, Unfallchirurgie, Chirurgie und Neurologie entwickelt sich die innerklinische Notfallmedizin zunehmend zur eigenständigen Disziplin. Über standardisierte Beurteilungen von Patienten (Triage), einheitliche Behandlungsrichtlinien (Standard-Operating-Procedures), Vidierung von medizinischen Leistungen und Ausbildungsfunktionen entwickelt sich ein neues Qualitätsbewusstsein in der klinischen Notfallmedizin.
