Zentrale Notfallaufnahme (ZNA) und Zentrale Notaufnahme für ältere Menschen

Zusammenfassung

Die Begriffsdeutung der Zentralen Notaufnahme (ZNA) ist im deutschsprachigen Raum nicht ganz deckungsgleich mit dem angelsächsischen Verständnis des „Emergency Department“. Dies v. a. auch deshalb, weil es in Deutschland und Österreich keinen Facharzt für Notfallmedizin gibt [1], [2]. Befasst man sich etwas näher mit Zentralen Notaufnahmen, so finden sich unterschiedlichste Ausprägungen und Lösungen wie auch Interpretationen dieser Einrichtungen [3]. In vielen Ländern wird die Diskussion über die Notwendigkeit von interdisziplinären Notfallaufnahmen gar nicht mehr geführt, da die Vorteile für Patienten und Krankenhäuser ohnehin offensichtlich sind [2]. In Österreich ist zu beobachten, dass dieser Erkenntnis zunehmend Rechnung getragen wird und Neubauprojekte durchweg die Errichtung einer Zentralen Interdisziplinären Notfallaufnahme vorsehen [1]. Vorreiterrolle hat hierbei das Klinikum Klagenfurt, das im Jahr 2010 erstmals in Österreich eine ZNA eröffnete. Diese hatte bereits im 1. Betriebsjahr ein Aufkommen von nahezu 60.000 ambulanten und 9000 stationären Patienten zu bewältigen.
