Zusammenfassung

In den Medien hört man über den Wienerberg meist nichts Gutes. Die Leute kritisieren die schlechte Lage, die schlechte Anbindung und die schlechte Infrastruktur. Doch als Bewohnerin am Wienerberg - und ich bin hier schon seit immerhin sieben Jahren zu Hause - kann ich sagen, dass sich diese Vorurteile im Alltag keineswegs bestätigen. Die Bushaltestelle ist in der Nähe, im Nebenhaus gibt es ein kleines Shopping-Center mit Supermarkt und Post, ein riesiges Kino, viele Restaurants, gleich ums Eck gibt es eine Apotheke, ein Kaffeehaus, eine Videothek und so weiter. Die Infrastruktur ist gut. Für die tägliche Nahversorgung ist alles da. Ich kann mich wirklich nicht beschweren.

Abstract

Generally you don’t hear anything positive in the media about Wienerberg. People criticise the bad location, the bad transport connection and the bad infrastructure. But as someone who actually lives in Wienerberg - and, after all, I’ve been living here for seven years - I can truly say that these prejudices are not confirmed in everyday life. The bus stop is nearby, in the neighbouring building there is a small shopping centre with a supermarket and post office, a huge cinema, lots of restaurants, just around the corner there is a pharmacy, a café, a video and DVD rental shop and so forth. The infrastructure is good. All the local facilities you need are here. I really can’t complain.
