Abstract

The diagnosis of MSA rests largely on medical history and neurological examination. Nevertheless, additional investigations can be useful to support the diagnosis and can be essential to exclude other conditions causing a comparable phenomenology. Recommended investigations include not only autonomic function tests but also neurophysiology as well as neuroimaging approaches. This chapter will review additional investigations supporting a diagnosis of MSA.
