Abstract
Space exploration does not exert a critical impact on the environment, but as it adds to ecological pressure as well, the impact should be analyzed. As ecology has a major importance for the further development of civilization, the authors devoted a part of the book to the topic and tried to describe both the contribution of spacecraft into the noble cause of environmental protection and the possibility to minimize in the 21st century the already existing negative impact of space technology on environment.
