Zusammenfassung
Gehen ist das natürliche Mittel des Körpers, sich von einem Ort zu einem anderen zu bewegen. Gleichzeitig ist es die bequemste Art, um kurze Distanzen zurückzulegen. Die funktionelle Vielseitigkeit erlaubt den unteren Extremitäten, sich leicht an unterschiedliche Oberflächen und Hindernisse in der Fortbewegungsrichtung anzupassen. Die Effektivität dieser Bemühungen hängt von einer freien Gelenksbeweglichkeit und einer Muskelaktivität ab, die selektiv in Bezug auf das Timing und die Intensität ist. Aufgrund der vielen Vorteile des Gehens streben Patienten danach, sich diese Funktion zu erhalten, selbst wenn eine starke Beeinträchtigung vorliegt. Da die verschiedensten Pathologien die Beweglichkeit und die muskuläre Effektivität beeinträchtigen, reagieren angrenzende Segmente kompensatorisch.
