Zusammenfassung

Im Gegensatz zur arterio-arteriellen Gegenpulsation, zum synchronisierten veno-arteriellen Bypass und zur Kombination von intraaortaler Ballonpulsation und veno-arteriellem Bypass hat sich die isolierte intraaortale Ballonpulsation (IABP) als klinisch brauchbares Verfahren herausgestellt. Entsprechend finden sich in der Literatur zahlreiche Arbeiten über den Einsatz bei Patienten mit kardiogenem Schock nach Myokardinfarkt bzw. im “low output-Syndrom” nach kardio-chirurgischen Eingriffen (1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 27, 30, 31, 32).
