Für die Untersuchungen wurden zunächst die folgenden Mineralien aus den Oxiden hergestellt:

  1. a)

    Picrochromit, (Magnesiochromit) , MgO · Cr2O3 (MK)

  2. b)

    Dikalziumsilikat, 2CaO · SiO2 (C2S)

  3. c)

    Forsterit, 2MgO · SiO2 (M2S)

  4. d)

    Monticellit, CaO · MgO · SiO2 (CMS)

  5. e)

    Merwinit, 3CaO · MgO · 2SiO2 (C3MS2)
