Summary

A model of short-time behaviour of cardiovascular control is described representing medullary centres by two randomly connected neural nets. The network parameters are adjusted to obtain a system reaction which, under normal conditions, coincides with a reference model well known from the literature. The effect of variations of the net parameters upon steady state arterial blood pressure, heart rate and peripheral resistance is examined. The ABP level is insensible even against great deviations from the nominal values of the net representing the motor nucleus of the vagus.
