Zusammenfassung
Der chemische Name von Buspiron (C21H31N5O2) ist 8-{4-[2-Pyrimidinyl-1-piperazinyl]butyl}-8-azaspiro[4,5]-decan-7,9-dion. Abb. 2 gibt die Strukturformel wieder. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein sogenanntes Azapiron. Zur gleichen Substanzklasse gehören auch Gepiron, Ipsapiron und Tandospiron. Im Handel ist Buspiron als Monohydrochlorid erhältlich. Buspironhydrochlorid ist eine weiße, kristalline, wasserlösliche Substanz mit einem Molekulargewicht von 422.
