Zusammenfassung

Sowohl in der Sprachwissenschaft als auch in den Sozialwissenschaften im engeren Sinne ist eine — wenn auch eher rezessive — Tradition beobachtbar, narrative Darstellungen von Gesellschaftsmitgliedern um dieser selbst willen oder als Symptome bzw. Repräsentationen für zugrundeliegende Ereignisabfolgen oder Gegenstandsbereiche zu erforschen (van Dijk u. a. 1973, Labov und Waletzky 1973, Köngäs-Maranda und Maranda 1973; Schatzman und Strauss 1955).

Für minitiöse Kritiken, Kommentare und Verbesserungsvorschläge, die mich zur Überarbeitung „von Grund auf“ veranlaßten, sei Ralf Bohnsack, Werner Meinefeld, Gerhard Riemann, Ansgar Weymann (alle Bielefeld), Ernst Heitmann (Aurich) und Dieter Wunderlich (Düsseldorf) herzlich gedankt.
