Abstract
The limit equation governing the large Reynolds number flow downstream of, say, an expansion in a channel is given by Kumar & Yajnik (1980). They also give a method of calculation which uses an expansion into the eigenfunctions of the Poiseuille flow development. This method is used here to obtain the solution of the problems proposed by the workshop. Section 2 gives a brief description of the method and the numerical results are presented in Section 3.
