The efficient use of machines, automation, computers, and other devices, has enabled manufacturing industry to reach such an advanced state, that the need for hand tools has been almost eliminated. However, hand tools are still required for many purposes in industry, like the making of prototypes and models, and in the maintenance of equipment. It is therefore important, that engineers should acquire sufficient experience and knowledge in the use of hand tools.
