Abstract
The design and construction of high-voltage equipment requires experience in the application of the laws of electric fields. High-voltage technological requirements often hinder a construction which is best from the mechanical and thermal points of view. The job of the constructing engineer is therefore to find the altogether most economical solution. In the following sections a brief introduction will be given to cover the scope and a survey of the established solutions presented.
