Abstract
An integral method for calculating boundary layers has been developed. It can be used in explicit or implicit form and covers attached as well as separated laminar or turbulent boundary layers. Wall curvature effects are included.
The method has been applied for calculating the flow around airfoils when flow separation occurs. Comparisons of the theoretical results with experimental data show, that the integral method can be used in a wide range of technically relevant applications. Further examples elucidate the effects of wall curvature.
