Summary
The surface grid generation method, which can utilized the surface definition of Computer Aided Design (CAD) system directly, is presented. First, the triangulation is performed on the each CAD defined patches. Then linear partial differential equations are solved on the linear triangle elements. Finally, the surface grids are constructed by searching for the contours inside the solution domain. The coordinate values of grid points are obtained by converting the parametric coordinate into the Cartesian coordinate through the parametric forms of the CAD defined patches.
