Zusammenfassung

Noch dem 18. Jahrhundert war die Vorstellung fremd, dass es neben dem „greifbaren“ Eigentum an Land, Gebäuden, Tieren oder Juwelen ein juristisch analog ausgestaltetes „immaterielles“ Eigentum geben könnte, das sich auf exklusive Nutzungs- (bzw. Verwertungs-)rechte an Bildern, Texten, Melodien oder technischen Erfindungen bezieht (Thibadeau 1995).
