Abstract
Competition law and competition policy are usually seen as prerequisits of a market economy. Both are presently growing in importance and scope. In addition, Europe is integrating competition rules under the influence of European competition regulations which reflects identical competition rules in the legislation of member countries. Where such rules do not already exist they are inserted into national law. The number of countries sharing similar competition legislation is thus growing. The whole system is enhanced by bilateral and multilateral international agreements, which refer competition rules in compliance with Articles 81 and 82 of the EEC Treaty.
