Abstract
In synchronization theory one is interested in conditions which ensure, that the phase error σ(t) increases at least by kΔ, where k is an integer and Δ is the period of the nonlinearity, when t tends to infinity. This property, which is called in communication systems “cycle slipping” [146], and similar problems are considered in [142, 100, 107, 143, 145, 137, 158]. We start our analysis with the ODE case.
