Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel geben wir zunächst einen Überblick über die wichtigsten in der Expertiseerwerbsforschung eingesetzten Methoden und skizzieren ihre Vor- und Nachteile. Mit retrospektiven Befragungen präsentieren wir eine weitere, noch wenig erprobte Methode als sinnvolle Ergänzung dieses Methodeninventars. Zwar wurden retrospektive Befragungen in Expertiseerwerbsstudien bereits vereinzelt eingesetzt, doch steht eine fundierte methodische Reflexion noch aus. Im Anschluß an die grundsätzlichen Ausführungen stellen wir drei Studien dar, mit denen wir die Frage nach der Bedeutsamkeit von Persönlichkeitsmerkmalen und Lernverhalten im weiteren Sinn für den Expertiseerwerb unter Verwendung retrospektiver Befragungen untersuchten. Anhand dieser Befunde diskutieren wir abschließend die Einsatzmöglichkeiten retrospektiver Befragungen bei der Untersuchung des Expertiseerwerbs.
