Zusammenfassung
Das zunehmende Gefühl ökonomischer Unsicherheit und die Realität der Arbeitslosigkeit sind zwei Bedingungen, die ausländerfeindliche Einstellungen und politische Rhetorik genährt haben. Dies ist ein großer Stolperstein, der das Überdenken von Migrationspolitiken und ihre Herauslösung aus einer Mentalität der nationalen Krise in eine Mentalität des multilateralen Managements behindert. Es ist wichtig zu verstehen, in welchem Ausmaß Arbeitslosigkeit und die unsichere ökonomische Situation der Arbeitnehmerinnen Bestandteile entwikkelter Wirtschaftssysteme sind, und in welchem Ausmaß sie tatsächlich durch Immigration aus Niedriglohnländern importiert werden. In diesem Beitrag untersuche ich wichtige Veränderungen in der Organisation wirtschaftlicher Aktivitäten in den letzten 15 Jahren, die sich als Quelle der allgemeinen wirtschaftlichen Unsicherheit, des Wachstums von Niedriglohnbereichen und neuer Formen beschäftigungszentrierter Armut herausgestellt haben.
