Abstract

In this paper, we look at the evolution of Manugistics, Corp., a key player in the rapidly chaning supply chain management software arena. Manugistics offers solutions to firms across geographical and functional boundaries, and allows them to rapidly convert to the new paradigm of supply chain competition. The implications of integrated business platforms, and the role of competition in a networked environment such as that offered by the Internet are discussed.
