Zusammenfassung

Die meisten Befürworter der europäischen Integration sind sich darüber einig, daß der Integrationsprozeß nicht auf den Bereich der Wirtschaft beschränkt bleiben kann. Die Schaffung eines gemeinsamen Marktes ist kein Ziel, das geeignet ist, die Loyalität und die Zuneigung der europäischen Völker zu ihren supranationalen Institutionen hervorzurufen. Hierzu bedarf es auch einer sozialen Dimension.
