Zusammenfassung
Inhalt dieses Paragraphen bildet die Herleitung der zwei Hauptsätze der Erneuerungstheorie, des Blackwellschen Erneuerungstheorems und seiner Integralversion, die in der englischsprachigen Literatur zumeist als Key Renewal Theorem bezeichnet wird. Da die deutsche Übersetzung dieser Bezeichnung etwas merkwürdig klingt, nennen wir das Ergebnis im folgenden schlicht das 2. Erneuerungstheorem. Die Herleitung des Blackwellschen Erneuerungstheorems bedarf einer Reihe von Vorbereitungen und ist keineswegs trivial. Der hier vorgestellte Beweis ist rein probabilistischer Natur und benutzt als wichtigstes Hilfsmittel die in jüngerer Zeit zu großer Bedeutung gelangte Koppelungsmethode. Einen älteren Beweis mit Hilfe fourieranalytischer Argumente geben wir in 13.1.
