Zusammenfassung

Der vorliegende Beitrag betrachtet Freiwilligenarbeit und freiwilliges Engagement von Jugendlichen in Großbritannien im Rahmen des „Millennium Volunteers Programme“. Er beschreibt den Stand der Forschung und benennt die Hemmnisse für ein Engagement, beleuchtet Einstellungen von Jugendlichen zur Freiwilligenarbeit und widmet sich Fragen, die bei der Gewinnung von Jugendlichen für Freiwilligenarbeit auftreten.
