Abstract

The experiments with biosensors described in this chapter have all been used with classes of final honours year undergraduates on the BSc Applied Biochemical Sciences Course at the University of Ulster. They would also be suitable for taught postgraduate courses such as Masters courses. They have each been designed to be completed in one three-hour laboratory period, but could with advantage be staged over more than one period, thus permitting preparation of the biosensors including immobilisation procedures.
