Zusammenfassung

Bei der Übertragung digitaler Informationen über störungsbehaftete Kanäle, deren Kanalkapazität größer als Null ist, kann die Wahrscheinlichkeit für empfangsseitig falsch decodierte Informationen durch geeignete Codierung beliebig klein gemacht werden, sie wird jedoch nie zu Null. Die Vor- und Nachteile verschiedener Codierungen werden im folgenden diskutiert. Hierbei wird vorausgesetzt, daß das Synchronisierungsproblem gelöst ist und ausschließlich binäre Signale (also mit nur 2 Signalamplituden) verwendet werden.
