Abstract

The competition between various processes going on in a polar crystal has theoretically to be described by rate equations. These equations differ from the reaction equations introduced in the previous chapter. In order to derive such rate equations a specification of a model is required, in the course of which we concentrate on electronic processes in this chapter.
