Abstract
The most important reactions in semiconductor and insulator physics are caused by impurities. Thus, the pure ideal semiconductor and insulator is only of limited interest and the theory is mainly concerned with the effects of irregularities. There-fore, for the description of crystal reactions by irreversible quantum statistics, the definition of the ensemble and the evaluation of the transition probabilities has to be done with respect to these irregularities.
