Zusammenfassung
Schon PLINIUS der Ältere erwähnt in seiner Naturgeschichte die Verwendung von “sardinischer Erde” zur Reinigung von Kleidern. Heute wissen wir, daß es sich bei dieser von ihm erwähnten “Erde” um Walkerde handelte, die zum Teil vor allem aus Montmorillonit — und Beidellit-Tonen besteht.
