Zusammenfassung
Die gegenwärtig zur Verfügung stehenden Daten zur Körperzusammensetzung frühgeborener Kinder beruhen entweder auf chemischen Analysen von Kindern, die nicht überlebt haben, oder auf in vivo-Messungen. Die Ergebnisse chemischer Analysen umfassen Wasser-, Protein-, Fett- und Mineralgehalt des ganzen Körpers sowie einzelner Organe und Gewebe. Die Ergebnisse der in vivo-Messungen umfassen das Volumen der gesamten Wassermenge, des extrazellulären und des intrazellulären Wassers, des Plasmas und des Körperfettgehalts.
