Zusammenfassung

Neben den gebräuchlichen Herzglykosiden Digitoxin und Digoxin stand das Digitalisglykosid Gitoxin bisher im Hintergrund. Seit die Lipoidlöslichkeit des Gitoxins durch Veresterung verbessert werden konnte [6], gehört insbesondere dem halbsynthetischen Pentaformylester des Gitoxins — dem Gitoformat (Dynocard®) — das zunehmende Interesse der Kliniker [2, 7, 12, 14, 19, 23, 26].
