Abstract
Investigations on the auditory system in grasshoppers have so far been mainly made by neurophysiological methods. In many cases, however, the understanding of the stages in the auditory pathway can be enhanced or simplified by morphological studies. The work described here is an attempt to demonstrate positions and connections of some acoustic nerve fibres in the ventral nerve cord of Locusta migratoria by such methods.
