Zusammenfassung

Hedge Fonds sind seit einigen Jahren bei institutionellen und privaten Anlegern auf Interesse gestoßen. Institutionelle Anleger schätzen vor allem die günstigen Diversifikationseigenschaften von Hedge Fonds, welche als Anlagekategorie besonders unabhängig ist und im Verhältnis zu Aktien geringe Wertschwankungen aufweist. Private Anleger suchen bei Hedge Fonds oft und zurecht nach hoher absoluter Performance, das heißt Renditen, welche höher sind als jene von Rentenanlagen und dennoch von ungünstigen Aktienmarktbewegungen verschont bleiben.
