Zusammenfassung
FORTRAN ist die Abkürzung von formula translation (Übersetzung von Formeln). Diese Sprache wurde 1956 zum Programmieren technischer Probleme geschaffen. Heute ist sie soweit entwickelt, daß mit ihr auch die Grundaufgaben der kaufmännischen Datenverarbeitung (DV) gelöst werden können.
