Zusammenfassung

Rational Choice-Theorie ist die Bezeichnung für einen der derzeit umstrittensten theoretischen Ansätze in den Sozialwissenschaften. In diesem einführenden Kapitel wird versucht, einige der Gründe für die äußerst uneinheitliche Beurteilung der möglichen Fruchtbarkeit des Ansatzes zu beleuchten. Es wird gezeigt, daß die Auseinandersetzung zu einem erheblichen Teil nicht auf Meinungsverschiedenheiten, sondern auf Mißverständnissen beruht.
