Zusammenfassung
In sehr unterschiedlicher Weise haben Mathematikdidaktikerinnen und Mathematikdidaktiker die Bedeutung des Sichtbaren und des schillernden Wortes „Visualisierung“ betrachtet. Exemplarisch sei auf Arbeiten von N. Presmeg (1986, 1994) oder Texte, die in den Sammelbänden der Klagenfurter Visualisierungstagungen (Kautschitsch 1982, 1994) erschienen sind, verwiesen. Gerne verwendete Bezugsdisziplinen waren dabei z. B. die lernpsychologischen Theorien von Jean Piaget (1955) oder Jerome Bruner (1966).
