Abstract
Sick capsule and poor quality of glenohumeral ligaments are bad prognostic factors for results after Bankart lesion repair. We created a method that can improve results for this group of patients. The proposed method uses the long head of the biceps tendon for sling effect and dynamic stabilization by transposition through the subscapularis split and fixation with three anchors parallel to glenoid rim for simultaneous replacement of the anterior segment of the labrum (labroplasty) and subsequent resuspension of glenohumeral ligaments to the same anchors. A 1- to 2-year follow-up study is presented after 21 cases. Early and middle terms follow-ups show us very optimistic results after this procedure and that it can be one of the effective methods for labral repair augmentation in patients with sick capsule and poor quality of glenohumeral ligaments.
