Zusammenfassung
Kommunikation, um deren Strukturen und Besonderheiten es in diesem Kapitel gehen soll, erfüllt Funktionen wie Strukturierung, Informationsverteilung, Koordination und Stabilisierung und ist mehr, als nur ein Austausch von Worten: Jede Handlung kann von Menschen unterschiedlich interpretiert werden und somit (absichtlich und unabsichtlich) eine bestimmte Botschaft vermitteln: „Man kann nicht nicht kommunizieren!“ Kommunikation geschieht sprachlich also para-verbal und non-verbal. Daher ist eine funktionierende Kommunikation wichtig für eine effiziente Teamarbeit und akutmedizinischen Interaktion, womit sich dieses Kapitel ebenfalls befasst. Gutes Kommunikationsverhalten nutzt kongruent verbale und non-verbale Mittel; kongruente Kommunikationssignale können durch übereinstimmende Körpersprache, non-verbale Signale und den gesprochenen Worten erzielt werden. Zuhören, um das es in diesem Kapitel ebenfalls geht, stellt eine wesentliche Kommunikationsfähigkeit dar.
