Zusammenfassung

Achtsamkeitsbasierte Interventionen gewinnen in der Behandlung von Zwangserkrankungen immer mehr an Bedeutung. In dem vorliegenden Buchkapitel werden Zusammenhänge zwischen der Phänomenologie von Zwangsstörungen und dem Achtsamkeitsprinzip beleuchtet, Ansatzpunkte von Achtsamkeitsinterventionen in der Therapie von Zwängen vorgestellt und erste Studienergebnisse einer Untersuchung zu achtsamkeitsbasierter kognitiver Therapie (MBCT) bei Zwangserkrankungen dargelegt. Die Studienlage deutet bislang nicht auf eine prinzipielle Überlegenheit achtsamkeitsbasierter Interventionen gegenüber klassischen verhaltenstherapeutischer Interventionen hin; allerdings fokussiert auch die Verhaltenstherapie bei Zwangserkrankungen zunehmend auf eine achtsamkeitsorientierte Haltung i.S. einer offenen, freundlichen Einstellung gegenüber mentalen Prozessen, welche eher die Akzeptanz schwieriger Gedanken und Emotionen als deren Reduktion zum Ziel hat.
