Zusammenfassung
Dieses Kapitel geht der Frage nach, wie Lebewesen sich selbst konstruieren. Dafür nutzen sie ihre faszinierende Fähigkeit, quantenphysikalische Messungen vorzunehmen. So leisten sie den im wahren Sinne des Wortesentscheidenden Beitrag, dass neue Information entsteht – aber nicht irgendeine Information. Denn im Wechselspiel mit der natürlichen Selektion bleibt nur diejenige davon erhalten, die bedeutungstragend – semantisch –für sie ist. Mit ihr bringen sich Lebewesen quasi selbst in die Form, von der niedrigesten Stoffwechselebene bis hin zum menschlichen Bewusstsein …
