Zusammenfassung
Motorische Auffälligkeiten können weitreichende Auswirkungen auf die Entwicklung der Kognition und Persönlichkeit eines Kindes haben. Wird die Diagnose einer entwicklungsbedingten Koordinationsstörung gestellt, sollte das Kind ergo- oder physiotherapeutisch behandelt werden. Wenn in der Befunderhebung sensorische Verarbeitungsstörungen als Ursache der Alltagsprobleme identifiziert wurden, ist der prozessorientierte, evidenzbasierte Ansatz der Sensorischen Integrationstherapie nach Ayres (ASI®) oft die Methode der Wahl. Die Intervention beruht auf drei Säulen: Aufklärung und Beratung der Eltern, direkte Therapie im klinischen Setting und Kompensationsstrategien. Dieser Ansatz berücksichtigt viele neuropsychologische Aspekte. Für die interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit zwischen therapeutischen und neuropsychologischen Fachkräften ist Wissen um die jeweilige Perspektive und Schwerpunkte im Sinne einer ganzheitlichen und ursachenorientierten Behandlung wünschenswert und wichtig.
