Zusammenfassung
In der Emotionsforschung werden verschiedene theoretische Konzeptionen unterschieden (strukturalistischer, funktionalistischer und soziokultureller Ansatz). Ausgehend von den verschiedenen theoretischen Perspektiven wird die Entwicklung positiver, negativer und selbstreferentieller Emotionen dargestellt. Im Anschluss wird auf die Entwicklung von Emotionsregulationskompetenzen eingegangen, wobei einerseits die Rolle des Temperaments und andererseits Entwicklungstrends (wie der Übergang von der Fremd- zur Selbstregulation und die Fähigkeit zur Manipulation des Emotionsausdrucks) thematisiert werden. Abschließend wird auf das Verständnis von Emotionsauslösern und von ambivalenten Emotionen eingegangen.
