Zusammenfassung
Systeme zur Fahrermüdigkeitserkennung gehören zur Grundausstattung der meisten modernen Fahrzeuge und in absehbarer Zeit wird deren Einbau gesetzlich verpflichtend sein. Neben den technischen Möglichkeiten zur Müdigkeitserfassung, ist die Schaffung von Bewusstsein für die Wichtigkeit von ausreichendem Schlaf eine wesentliche Präventivmaßnahme. Der aktuelle Boom bei Wearables, die auch den Schlaf-wach-Rhythmus aufzeichnen, hat die Sensibilität für dieses Thema erhöht. Die Sensorik dieser Geräte könnte auch genutzt werden, um die Müdigkeitserfassung im Fahrzeug zu verbessern. Laut Prognosen wird um 2050 das autonome Fahren das Verkehrsgeschehen prägen. Doch bis dahin wird technisch nur ein teilautonomes Fahren möglich sein, mit der Verpflichtung, dass der „potentielle“ Fahrer jederzeit eingreifen muss, wenn es die Situation verlangt. Autofahren wird dadurch zunehmend zu einer Überwachungstätigkeit. Die Müdigkeitserkennung und Aufmerksamkeitswarnung spielen dabei eine zentrale Rolle.
