Abstract
As opposed to lateral ulnar collateral ligament tear which is routinely repaired in complex elbow dislocation, acute repair of the medial ulnar collateral ligament is more rarely indicated and reserved for selected cases of persistent joint instability after surgical address of any radial head and/or coronoid fractures and repair of the lateral ulnar collateral ligament. Commonly, the medial ulnar collateral ligament is repaired by reattaching the avulsed ligament back to its origin using suture anchors or sutures through bone tunnels.
This chapter will describe both surgical techniques.
