Zusammenfassung
Als Mohandas Gandhi am 30. Januar 1948 erschossen wird, ist sein Leben bereits Legende. Er ist zur bestimmenden Figur der Unabhängigkeitsbewegung in Indien geworden. Seine scheinbar grenzenlose Selbstkontrolle in zahllosen Hungerstreiks und Gefängnisaufenthalten für den Zweck der Gewaltlosigkeit faszinieren nach wie vor Menschen auf der ganzen Welt. Wie ist aus einem schüchternen, ergebenen und schuldgeplagten Jugendlichen ein Anführer von Abertausenden von Menschen geworden? Auf diese und weitere Fragen wird auf Basis seiner Biografie und aus psychologischer Sicht vertiefend eingegangen.
