Am 19. Oktober 1939 konnten die Blumenthals ihr vorübergehendes Quartier im Haus Zuilenveld verlassen und in eine richtige Wohnung nach Delft umziehen. Ihre Situation am Ende des Jahres beschrieb Otto Blumenthal in einer Silvesterkarte an David und Käthe Hilbert.
