Zusammenfassung
Für die Behandlung von VRE-Infektionen stehen im Wesentlichen Linezolid , Tigecyclin und Daptomycin zur Verfügung. Ei ne Therapie mit Teicoplanin (ggf. in Kombination) kann in Ausnahmefällen bei VanB-Resistenz erwogen werden, wird aber nicht generell empfohlen, da eine so genannte heterogene Resistenz beschrieben wurde, die zu einem Therapieversagen führen kann oder eine konstitutiv-resistente VanB-Mutante unter Teicoplanin vorliegen kann. In Einzelfällen wurde über die erfolgreiche Therapie mit Chloramphenicol und Tetrazyklin berichtet. Aufgrund der Toxizität von Chloramphenicol und der fehlenden Evidenz ist eine allgemeine Anwendung allerdings nicht empfehlenswert (Mutters 2015).
